HOW DO I PURCHASE MEALS FOR MY CHILD?
The cafeterias operate on a computerized accounting system. Each student has an account consisting of money deposited in the account. To deposit money in the account – send a check made payable to SISD Child Nutrition or you may sign up online to make deposits electronically through:
The student will receive a statement when their balance reaches a negative value. It is important to monitor the account balance to prevent having a negative balance and this can be done electronically as well. Positive balances are carried over to the next year. Any negative balances must be paid prior to the beginning of the next school year. Charges will not be allowed in the last month of the Spring term.
To purchase meals, the student enters their confidential pin number (student ID) into the key pad and the cashier will enter their purchases into the system. We highly recommend parents periodically request a printout of the student’s account to review purchases and discuss appropriate food choices with the student.
